Chiayi eryanping trail Cloud Viewing Platform is famous for viewing the sunset, and there is a chance to see the sea of clouds, waterfalls and other wonders – the entrance is located next to the Alishan Highway, and the entire section of the trail is about one kilometer long, with bamboo forests, tea gardens and other landscapes along the way – it is very suitable for a walk in the afternoon!
Table of Contents
entrance
The entrance is located on the Taiwan 18 line (Alishan Highway), you can see a pavilion & toilet, you can’t park here ~ 100 meters before the entrance, there will be a viewing platform that can be parked (there is a small parking lot, when you go up to the mountain, you can directly cut the right to park).
There is also a small platform in front of the entrance to see the valley, in fact, the Alishan Highway is beautiful everywhere, the roadside is also a very beautiful concept, in this section of the afternoon is very often a dense fog, themselves have encountered many times, cycling or driving really need to be extra careful! Otherwise is to avoid the afternoon near 2~5 o’clock (usually come to the top of the gap is to see the sunset, the sun goes down time basically fog on the retreat).
bamboo walkway
At the beginning of almost all the bamboo forest, bamboo forest not too sunny, the altitude of more than 1,000, it is recommended to come in the summer with a thin jacket ~ raincoat or umbrella is also prepared, the weather in the mountains changeable.
The trails are manually renovated and are not difficult to walk, but there are thoughtful wooden chairs for people to take a rest, which may be considered as a very relaxing trail, and I seldom see people taking a rest after coming here for many times.
On the way there will be a group of pine trees (I’m not sure what kind of pine this is ~), when the clouds drifted over, walking really have a share of the high mountains around, after the pine tree group in addition to the pavilion, basically there will not be much shelter (because I have been in the rain a few times…). I don’t know how much I remember).
pavilion
After the pine trees, you will come across the first pavilion. There are about three pavilions in the whole section (as far as I can remember), and the first one is about one-third of the whole section, so it’s really fast~!
Tea Garden
There is a tea plantation next to the pine trees, but it is not a tourist tea plantation, so don’t go in there and step on it!
I’ve been to this trail several times, and every time I take the same shot of this viewpoint, the tea plantation and the pine trees (I like this combination), and every time I come, the light and the background are not quite the same, so I’ll still take a shot of it~!
There is also a special feature in the tea plantation, the Eryanping Giant Stone, which can be clearly seen in the photo and stands out in the green tea plantation, which is also an added feature here.
There’s a maple tree behind the tea garden, and it’s a target that I always take a picture of every time I come here.
After the tea plantation, the next step is almost always this wooden staircase.
This is the second pavilion, I have dodged the rain here several times… One time, there was a heavy thunderstorm, so I had to abandon my journey here.
The wooden staircase is almost without shelter, and the view is so wide that you can see the scenery from where you are coming, and the tea plantation has become quite small.
Guan Yun Platform
When you walk to the high electric tower can be found, that is to say that you have reached the destination, there will be the last pavilion, as well as three to four viewing platforms, if you like to shoot the sunset friends may want to come earlier to the location of the tripod, the usual Sunday afternoon there will be a lot of people to come.
Every time I come, it’s either raining heavily or foggy, but later I realized that I have a better chance of seeing clouds and sunset in the fall and winter. Although I like to take photos, I don’t have a strong desire for sunrise or sunset, but I mainly like to take photos of things I see along the way, and I would like to share with you some other people’s works as well.
