Tea Garden Trail
In mid-February, cherry blossoms can be seen everywhere in the Chiayi mountain area. In fact, I just wanted to go up to the mountain for camping and trekking for a while, but I remembered that it’s the cherry blossom season now when I drove from the Alishan Highway.
There is a parking lot at the entrance of Mui Shan Precipitous Tail Trail (about a dozen cars can be parked), but when I came on holiday, it was unexpectedly not full, and I wondered if it was not beautiful enough.
There is also a tea plantation trail near the Precipitous Tail Trail in Meishan. After I parked my car, I planned to walk this small circle first, and then walk in the direction of the Big Bird’s Nest, and when I entered the tea plantation, my initial doubts about the beauty of the scenery were eliminated! The cherry blossoms on the side of the road were a sight to behold!
This should be the carts used by the locals to deliver tea leaves, right? I think it’s quite unique.
Cherry blossom in the tea garden is basically difficult to see the whole piece of planting, but this is also a different kind of characteristics, a sense of line and neatly repeated dark green tea garden, with pink cherry blossom, really a bit of embellishment effect.
An unknown yellow flower has also come to play a part.
In fact, even if there are no cherry blossoms, the green tea gardens are still very attractive, and the independent green trees can also become the main characters in the picture, and this is how the tea gardens in Chiayi’s mid-altitude mountain area attract people.
The second half of the tea plantation trail enters a small section of bamboo forest, and then an eye-opening scene appears in front of you in a gap. The pink cherry blossoms on the platform and the white cherry blossoms in the tea plantation are very appealing to the eye.
I wasn’t sure if the white flowers were plums or cherry blossoms, but plums bloom earlier, and this is the end of February, so I don’t think it’s plums.
After the cherry blossoms, it’s downhill all the way, and at the end of the Tea Plantation Trail, you’ll pass through cedar woodland. It’s rare to see light and shadow in the mountains in the late afternoon, and it’s usually foggy at this time of the year.
When you walk out of the cedar woodland, the cherry blossoms next to the steps are quite attractive, though not dense.
After circling around, I went back to the row of cherry blossoms that I saw in the tea garden at the beginning of the trip, and I was unexpectedly rewarded with a cherry blossom view. The next day, I wanted to sleep until I woke up naturally in the campground, but I wanted to say that it was the cherry blossom season, so I went to the Alishan Recreation Area early to appreciate the cherry blossom view.
Longzaiwei Trail
Go back to the parking lot and walk towards the direction of the big icon, then there are still full of tea gardens, just walk down the tea gardens to the right hand side can still see the cherry blossom pavilion at the beginning.
When I came down to the tea plantation, my partner said that the small green tree was a big ibis, but I don’t think he was serious, as it looked very small, and then some of the passers-by asked if it was a big ibis.
This section of the Tea Plantation Trail has a different visual effect from up to down, if there is a whole sea of clouds in front of you, of course, it will be better ~ all the way down, on behalf of the return trip to go all the way up, if you do not have enough energy, basically slowly or no problem.
The photo shows an ice cream store, but there are also paintings on display. Frankly speaking, I have forgotten the name of the store. At first, when we passed by, we were discussing with our partners about whether we could go through the store directly and head down to the big icon, but we finally decided to bypass the store, and then we found out that there were ice creams for sale on the way back.
Turning a few small corners, you can see the big ibis itself in the distance, and it’s really very tall, many times taller than the small tree we talked about at the beginning! Because of the dense growth, when you look down from the hillside, it blends in with the background and you don’t realize that there is also a big tree here, and there are also a few cherry blossoms in full bloom in the back, which is also very attractive.
These cherry blossoms are in fact very large, if it is in the Alishan amusement park area, it is also considered a large class, but in the picture just now, compared with the big icon, naturally, it is much smaller.
There is an arbor with seats, but there are not many tourists visiting. There is a parking lot in front of the big icon, but I’m not sure if you can park your car here, otherwise it’s really a good place to relax in the afternoon, and there are also birds chirping every now and then!
