Tainan Natural Trails & Tourist Attractions
Liuyi Mountain 六義山：
The Zixia Hiking Pass on Liuyi Mountain 六義山 is a low-altitude forested trail in Tainan. Although the elevation is not very high, the trail climbs from 300 meters to nearly 800 meters high, making it not a very easy walk, and along the way, you have the opportunity to view the Nanhua Reservoir, and the forested atmosphere that surrounds the trail is a great enjoyment! It is a day trip to take pictures of the scenery, train your legs, and enjoy the ecology.
鈺鼎步道（Yuding Trail）：
Located in Yujing, Tainan, the 鈺鼎步道（Yuding Trail） is shaded from the sun throughout the entire route, making it a relatively cool walk in the summer, and the pavilion on the trail overlooks the Nanhua Reservoir and the Canaan Plain! The view is excellent, and in early summer in June, you can see different kinds of wildflowers blooming along the trail, which is rich in ecological flavor.
Zengwen Reservoir Lookout(曾文水庫)：
The Zengwen Reservoir Lookout Deck offers a long-distance view of the reservoir, where the Pink Mussaenda blossoms bloom in June and July. In addition, nearby attractions such as the Floodway and the Hexagonal Pavilion are well worth taking photos of, with the dam’s spillway being straight and spectacular, and the Hexagonal Pavilion having a large grassy area and a mountain view of the reservoir.
Eternal Golden Castle：
With the arrival of spring in March, Tainan’s flower season has officially begun! When you come to Eternal Golden Castle(Yizai Golden City) at this time, you will not only stroll around the ancient monuments, but also with the neem flowers in full bloom, just like the snow in March ~ In addition, the yellow-flowered tumbleweeds are also blooming in this season, and with the rich forest, it is really suitable for the morning or afternoon to come to take a walk, relaxation.
Anping tree house：
The Tainan Anping Tree House was originally a warehouse of the Teck Kee Foreign Bank. The exterior is surrounded by banyan tree roots, and the interplay of light and shadow inside the house adds a sense of mystery; on the second floor, there is also an aerial walkway surrounded by banyan trees, which is a good place to take a rest for a while.
Tainan Anping Bike Path：
On the Anping Cycling Road, motorcycles are prohibited, and walking or cycling is allowed. Whether on a regular day or a weekend, many people come here for a stroll, jog, or bike ride at dusk. The sunlight filtering through the trees is truly beautiful, making it highly recommended to visit in the evening.
Tainan Mei Ling Scenic Area：
Tainan Mei Ling Scenic Area,January is the peak season for plum blossoms. I specifically chose this time to visit the Plum Blossom Trail, spending a whole day exploring routes伍龍步道、獵鷹尖一線天、梅峰古道. In addition to the blooming plum blossoms, camellias, mountain cherries, and wild peonies are also in full bloom.
Jingzaijiao Tile-paved Salt Fields：
Jingzaijiao Tile-paved Salt Fields in Beimen are ancient salt fields that are open to visitors for experiencing salt drying and salt harvesting. The sunset here often attracts a large number of photography enthusiasts. Moreover, during autumn, there is a magnificent scene with a large number of black-bellied plovers migrating through. Highly recommend coming for a visit!
學甲老塘湖芸術村：
Tainan Xuejia 老塘湖藝術村 is built by the finger-painting artist Kuang Jinfu (Kuang Yi). He collected a bunch of old materials and created this place with a vintage artistic style, giving it an ancient city vibe. Spent half a day wandering around here, sharing what we saw during the stroll.
