Hualien Xin she Rice Terrace,Dashibishan Trail, fengbin skywalk. The coast of Hualien is full of beautiful scenery, and here I would like to share with you some of my favorite spots in Fengbin Township: the coastal hiking trail “Da Shi Bisan Trail”, the coastal cliff trail “Kissing I don’t know the child sky trail”, the coastal rice paddies full of installation art, “Xinshe Terraces”, and “Shitiping” with its one-sided mountainous terrain. “Shinshe Terraces” and “Shitiping”, a one-sided mountain terrain along the coast, are perfect for a day trip!

Dashibishan Trail

The parking lot of Dashibu Mountain is located on the 11th line of the Taiwan Straits, so you can climb the trail as soon as you park your car. The scenic spots shared in this post are all on the 11th line, which makes it very easy to recognize the way. The trail climbs for a short while and you can see a large part of the Pacific Ocean.

There are well-built wooden trestles & stone steps throughout the whole route, but some parts were damaged due to typhoon or heavy rain, and when I went to climb that day, some parts were blocked and waiting for restoration.

This angle is the direction to the south, you can already see the mountain under the group of houses, there are a few restaurants can eat (opposite the parking lot), the day to get here is one or two o’clock in the afternoon, have not eaten Chinese food would like to eat and then climb, due to the beginning of the rain …. I chose to starve and climb up quickly.

I was very happy to see a gazebo in the distance in the rain.

Da Shi Bu Shan Trail

The floor was so wet that I thought it was not a bad thing, except for the fear of slipping. It was quieter with less crowd. Standing and enjoying the scenery ~ the chairs were all wet from the spray.

Since the scenic spots shared in this post were all shot on the same day, encountered cloudy and rainy days, so there is no turquoise sea water with blue sky and white clouds, but also has another atmosphere ~

Dashibishan Trail

I really like the angle of the following photos. Many people would take photos here, sitting across the handrail in the middle of the room – I think it’s a good angle for sunrise on the East Coast!

This is the last pavilion on the day of the walk, some sections are closed, stop and go plus take pictures, I spent almost 1 hour, the trail is not too long and just next to the 11th parallel, I think it can be included in the must-see attractions ~

This is a fork in the road next to the Taiwan 11th parallel. If you are traveling north, you can just turn right and cut in, but if you are traveling south, you have to be careful! You can’t cut left directly, you have to keep driving south to the section where you can turn around and then turn around, turn north and then cut right!

Here are a few pictures of the scenery around the parking lot.

On the way to the Sky Trail, you can see a small grassy area with a good view of the sea and three rows of stone chairs.

When you walk to the entrance, you can see the Xinji Tunnel, which has been abandoned and replaced by the Xinfeng Tunnel on the next side of Taiwan’s Route 11, and you have to buy a ticket at the entrance of the tunnel! (You have to buy a ticket at the entrance of the tunnel (NT$40 per person), and the opening hours are from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm every day.

After purchasing the ticket, you can enter the Kisshoko Cliffs, an aboriginal trail from the early years that has been developed for sightseeing (Kisshoko Sky Trail), with the first half of the trail being a rocky section.

Halfway through the walk, there is a protruding rock wall, and as you walk through it, the glass floor begins. The transparency of the glass is a little lacking at the moment ~ not quite as transparent as it would be if you were to fall through it, but basically, I’m still focusing on the beautiful seascape all around me!

Konwako Sky Trail

It’s kind of scary to look down on the cliff and see people fishing and angling, and you can’t help but feel like you’ve lost your footing and you’re going to go down…

Konwako Sky Trail

The cliff cuts the picture in half ~ a lot of people would take pictures here and then get stuck in traffic….

The Sky Trail is very short, and I have the impression that it takes about 10 minutes to complete.

Konwako Sky Trail

After walking down the Skywalk, you can look back and see an erosion hole under the cliff, which is quite special.

Konwako Sky Trail

After walking through the Sky Trail, you have to go back by the side of the New Machine Tunnel, which is currently selling some souvenirs and food. The following two murals were also taken inside the tunnel, which illustrate the origin of the Kissing Unknown Children’s Cliffs, which is rumored to be the name of the place due to the fact that an aborigine who carried her child over the cliff in the early days found that the child had disappeared.

Xin she Rice Terrace

It’s also next to the Taiwan 11th parallel, but the day I arrived was the end of April in spring, and the rice was not yet very dense, otherwise it would have been even more beautiful ~ the golden ears of rice in the harvesting season would have been even more beautiful.

Xinshe Terraces

There were a lot of art installations around the terraces, but as you can see, the ground was wet, and it was raining quite a bit that day, so basically no one ran over to step in the mud.

My favorite is the ball-shaped hut, where you can go inside to escape the rain!

Like the scattered tourists, I at best walked on the path through this field, but my shoes still got quite a bit of mud on them.

After walking through the installation art, you can see the sea, basically in the western half of the scene is not visible, under the clouds in some places darker color, connected to the sea, that’s exactly the heavy rain ~ I do not dare to stay too long, not very much want to get wet.

The rainy mountainous area with misty clouds gave me a fairytale feeling, and it was worth it to get my shoes covered in mud!
