Lakeside Campground
A campground with a great view is not to be missed for those who like to take photos , The purpose of this trip was not only to enjoy camping next to the Sun Moon Lake, but also to walk the nearby trails.
The campground is right on the shore of the lake, so you can reach out and touch the water ~ and there is a walking trail across the street! It’s easy to get up and go for a walk when you’re tired of sitting down.
Visitors’ interactions can be recorded in your mind.
This sand-colored tent is my tent. What I like about this place is that it’s close to Sun Moon Lake, and it’s under the trees, which gives it a forest camping atmosphere!
The area I chose is the second row of the lake view, the first row can not be booked (too late to book), of course, there are good and bad ah, although the first row directly close to the Sun Moon Lake, but during the daytime, your every move will be on the trail visitors to watch ~ privacy is relatively low, and in the second row, see the lake, will not be tourists to watch.
There were a few red larch trees just opposite my campsite. Honestly, I didn’t know there were larch trees here before I came here, so it was kind of a mistake to come here, and I was able to enjoy the lake view, mountain view, red larch trees, and the forest all at once.
A little light hits just right under the forest trees in the second row.
The no-pitching area next to the hotel is less crowded, and the price is higher and the view is good, so that’s why there are fewer people there.
The campground is very cozy at night, and since no noise is allowed at night, the sound of the lake lapping is especially clear once you get to the first row of the area 🙂 It’s a good idea to walk around the campground after dinner, or even go out on the trails.
Yidashao Lakeside Trail
The next morning, the sun was shining on the Ida Shaw Water Trail in front of us. The view from this angle was my favorite, the orange pine leaves were lit up, the campers on the left side of the lake were enjoying the view of the lake, and the tourists on the trail were also walking leisurely, it was worth it to take the following photos!
This vertical shot is the best!
The water walkway in front of the camp allows you to enjoy the view of Sun Moon Lake directly. The four-cornered nets on the lake are used by the local fishermen to catch fish – I didn’t watch the process of lifting the nets on the spot, but I heard that the frequency of using them is now lower than before.
The middle part of the trail is basically between the trees, and the wooden pallet road is very comfortable to walk on, and it is a very friendly trail for the elderly (mainly because it is very short and has no climbing), and it is especially cool and suitable for the early morning or dusk!
The middle of the trail is mostly surrounded by trees, so if you want to see the Sun Moon Lake, you have to look for the gaps between the trees.
Yidashao Pier
It takes about 10 minutes to walk from the campground to the Ida Shaw Pier. Frankly speaking, it’s too short, so I don’t feel like walking. I think it’s just a walk, but in the morning, there are a few tourists coming to enjoy the scenery of the pier, and of course, it’s more and more crowded the later it gets.
Walking towards the docking area, there is a circular installation where you can sit and relax, which is quite special.
The sunlight coming in from the back of the pier towards Sun Moon Lake, I think this is more attractive than just the lake view, as time passes, this kind of light will disappear soon (the sun runs fast!). As time goes by, the light will disappear soon (the sun is fast!). Apart from the stunning light, one of my favorite things about this time of the day is that it’s so quiet, and most of the tourists are probably still sleeping, so it’s the best time to enjoy this space alone!
Every time you come to Sun Moon Lake there will be a lot of stores pull guests, please go to participate in the lake tour, I am more like to walk around and take pictures ~ so did not agree, of course, I believe that the lake tour will be great, just now I am not interested! Maybe I’ll want to do it one day when I’ve traveled around the area.
