Xinwei Forest Park

Kaohsiung Xinwei Forest Park，Two rows of mahogany promenade is the biggest feature of Kaohsiung Xinwei Forest Park, which is one of the largest nurseries in Taiwan, and a popular photo spot in recent years. Walking among the rows of tall trees is very interesting, and I thought it was just two rows of trees when I looked at the photos on the internet before coming here, but after I came to walk around in person, I experienced a feeling that is not as simple as I can describe it~!

In March, with the wind blowing the branches of the trees, the dead leaves of the mahogany trees will slowly fall. Although it’s already spring, this scene has a strong sense of autumn – while the leaves are falling, tourists also look up to admire the scene, and you don’t need to climb up the hill and walk a long way, you just need to park your car, and then get out of the car and you can get there immediately! It’s a great place to take a walk in the morning or in the afternoon.

It takes time to see the falling leaves in the sky, and I have spent a lot of time waiting for these photos.

The carpet of fallen leaves is also one of the special features of Sunway Forest during this period, and the rustling sound of stepping on the dead leaves is very therapeutic to me. The Mahogany Avenue is about two kilometers long, which can spread out the crowds, and is not too crowded (parking spaces may be scarce in the afternoons on holidays).

Xinwei Forest is located in the Maolin Scenic Area, this area is rich in bird resources, every time I come to the Maolin area, I always carry a camera to take pictures of the birds ~ because the trees are tall, it is easy to backlighting is not easy to appreciate and take pictures, but when walking among the trees, my ears can always hear the beautiful melody ~

From the 45km point of Taiwan 28, drive uphill to reach Kaohsiung Xinwei Forest Park (the slope is a bit steep), once you drive to the entrance, you can see a row of mahogany trees, the fork in the road before going uphill is a junction, the traffic flow is a bit fast, so be careful on the way back to drive out!

At the entrance, there is a small circle with eight mahogany trees. There are parking lots on both sides of the entrance, and once you turn right, you can go to the visitor center (convenient for going to the bathroom).

Located on the west bank of the Laonong River, because the land is fertile and excellent, this area is used to cultivate forest seedlings of about 200 species, of which mahogany, bamboo, and cedar are the most numerous, and both sides of the road are filled with forests～.

In spring, mahogany buds will appear peach red, slowly turn into orange-green with time, and then turn all green, and in summer, the whole area is green, I think the most suitable season for playing here is spring (early March!). I think the best season to visit here is spring (early March!), with its rich colors and cool climate.

The varied colors of the mahogany and a variety of tree species, the picture is rich in color, this varied scenery really does not look like spring ~ can only once again be described as a thick autumn!

If you’re not afraid of getting your clothes dirty, lying on the ground and looking up at the sky is a great feeling (just the right weather for just the right sky!).

There are two rows of mahogany trees next to the asphalt road, and most of the tree branches grow in the direction of the road (probably in the direction of the sunlight), so you can see the change of the leaves more than walking in the middle of the two rows, and people are really quite small underneath the trees! If you like jogging, I think this is a good choice.
