Huisun Forest Area,Discover the forested prairie!

Hui-Sun Forest Trail

Huisun Forest Area Trail is very suitable to come all year round, the service area and recreational prairie about 1,000 above and below sea level, summer is very cool, spring is full of blooming cherry blossoms can be appreciated, fall and winter is the city does not have the good air ~ the park’s Mountain Arashi Trail, the Giant Pine Terrace Trail, the sequoia plaza, the hillside grasslands, banana paths and so on are close to the natural world of the good place!

Huisun Forest Area Service Center

Before the cherry blossoms fell off at the end of February, I drove there to try my luck ~, the park is very big, I didn’t see it when I first entered the park, I thought the season was over…, but the place with the most cherry blossoms is at the end of the park (the last place I can reach by car).

In the hut area next to the service area, a group of cherry blossom trees were planted on the grass, and flower petals fell all over the ground. Taking photos at a low angle with the hut background gives an exotic feeling.

Huisun Forest has a colony of Taiwan blue magpies, but also because many visitors will feed the relationship, often found in crowded places, do not feed food to the wildlife! In addition to being unhealthy, it can also cause them to get too close to humans.

After an hour of shooting, we finally got the flying version.

巨松台步道 Trail

After strolling through the service area, the trail cuts into the Giant Pine Terrace Trail halfway through the Mountain Arash Trail to Giant Pine Terrace – a pristine forested area, the road is quite easy to navigate.

Hui-Sun Forest Trail

There is almost no direct sunlight when you walk this trail after 10:00 a.m. Most of the area is tucked away behind the mountain walls and the light doesn’t hit very far.

Hui-Sun Forest Trail

The ground was also covered with pine cones, many of which had been stepped on by mountaineers and plunged into the ground.

Hui-Sun Forest Trail

Be aware that there are a lot of fallen leaves in some places, even if your shoes are non-slip… If you don’t have trekking poles, you should walk slowly! If you don’t have trekking poles, you should walk slowly. It’s not a good idea to slide down the mountainside.

Hui-Sun Forest Trail

After walking uphill all the way, you can always see the Giant Pine Terrace, on which many tourists are already resting.

山嵐小徑 Trail

The Mountain Arash Trail is about twice as long as the Giant Pine Terrace Trail, and the Giant Pine Terrace just now is where the Mountain Arash Trail cuts in halfway, and then retraces its steps and continues on to finish it.

Hui-Sun Forest Trail

After leaving the service center, the trail starts off on the side of the road and is almost flat.

Hui-Sun Forest Trail

A few cherry blossoms are also in full bloom!

Hui-Sun Forest Trail

The first half of the trail is almost uphill until the intersection with the Giant Pine Terrace Trail! If you’re cutting through on your way to Jusongdae like I did, it’s uphill all the way to the end (not too steep, but acceptable).

Hui-Sun Forest Trail

After passing the intersection of Jusongdae, the trail is hardly uphill, so you can go on easily. On the way, there is a rest area with many chairs and tall two-leaf and five-leaf pines, where you can take a rest for a while.

Hui-Sun Forest Trail

This is a great place to take photos! Take a few pictures of your companion while he’s looking at the scenery, it’s the most natural way to sneak a picture.

This is a beautiful light that you can leave more time to take pictures.

涉水步道Trail

At the end of the mountain trail is a wading trail, which is only a few dozen meters long, and you can take off your shoes and play in the water, but the water is almost dry in winter and spring.

There is also a small sitting area next to it.

Sequoia Plaza, Red House(水杉廣場、紅樓)

If you are tired of walking, you can take a rest at the Shui Shui Plaza, there is a cafe with indoor and outdoor seating, I like to sit outside and watch the scenery, so I can drag the chairs under the trees so that I won’t be exposed to the sun all the time.

In the forest area, wherever there are lots of people, there are lots of monkeys.

Hui-Sun Forest Trail

There is also a straight forest road next to the square.

As the name suggests, Metasequoia Plaza is planted with Metasequoia trees, which will appear orange and yellow in Taiwan around October, but I didn’t have a chance to see the best of the Metasequoia in spring.

The red building next to it is the Red Building on the park map.

Savannah, Banana Road(大草原、蕉道)

The prairie is just next to Sequoia Plaza, and the nearby campfire and parent-child recreation areas are roughly the same length as the prairie, which is suitable for picnics or group recreation games.

Hui-Sun Forest Trail

The straight forest road behind the prairie (counts as the same as the one by Sequoia Plaza).

Hui-Sun Forest Trail

I didn’t stop at the prairie and went straight to the banana path, which is filled with all kinds of bananas, the ones on the upper left in the photo below ~, but I personally prefer the ferns with a dense outlook.

Hui-Sun Forest Trail

Take the banana road to the mountainside meadow.

Hui-Sun Forest Trail

hillside steppe(山坡草原)

Hillside meadows don’t have the installation artifacts that prairies do, but I prefer the natural landscape, and the surrounding forests are great for picnics.

Kids can go skating.

There are also plenty of hammocks to take a nap in.

Hui-Sun Forest Trail

Enjoy the cherry blossoms from the hammock (there aren’t many cherry trees), and if I had to choose a resting spot for a long time, I’d choose this hillside meadow!

Hui-Sun Forest Trail

At this time, about five or so cherry trees were in full bloom along the roadside.

Scenic View Terrace(景觀台)

The last stop of the day was to go to the observation deck, and on the way, I passed behind the service area, where cherry blossoms were in full bloom.

Cabin next to the observation deck.

In this period of time before the sun goes down, with a good view of the observation deck to consume ~ end of a full day of travel, the number of internal trails in the park, a day is basically very difficult to stroll through, you can stay inside a night divided into two days to slowly experience.
