Taichung Spring Mountain Leisure Farm, cherry blossom season.

Mushinsen Sakura

In springtime, the cherry blossoms bloom at Spring Mountain Leisure Farm in Taichung’s Xinshe, where a large number of Yaezakura and Fuji Sakura are planted, and the entire pathway is dyed pink by the blossoms. In addition to the cherry blossoms, there are also many kinds of plants, such as the golden needles, oleander, white snowdrops, and the golden maple, which have different blossoms at different times of the year, making it a good spot for enjoying the blossoms all year round!

The first half of Spring Mountain Leisure Farm

When I came here before the cherry blossom season, I had to wait for more than an hour just to get stuck in the traffic queue. I couldn’t see any cherry blossom trees at the entrance, but there were a few large olive trees dropping fruits all over the ground, so I wondered if my expectations would be disappointed.

Walking a few dozen meters ahead, you will reach the restaurant in the park. After walking around the restaurant, a sea of colorful flowers will appear in front of your eyes, and the small slope next to the restaurant is full of cherry blossoms, most of which are Yaezakura.

It was already 11 o’clock when we entered the park, but not many people were ready to eat, everyone was eager to take photos.

The lighter color in the picture is Fuji Cherry Blossom, and the first half of the garden is less planted, the ground is full of foliage of Golden Echinacea.

Yaezakura’s petals have many dense leaves.

The trees are much taller than expected, and the stone walkway next to the restaurant turns into a cherry blossom tunnel.

After walking up to the top of the stone stairs, I decided not to eat lunch that day, and waited in line for more than an hour, thinking that I wanted to take pictures of the scenery in front of me.

After the stone steps is the only wooden pallet in the park, both sides are still full of Yaezakura, people are coming and going, you have to wait for a long time to take a picture.

As you walk up the hill, on your left hand side is a whole field of golden needles, with only one big green tree in the middle of the field, contrasting with the color of the surrounding cherry blossoms.

I walked slowly to the left into the field of golden needles (without stepping on the plants), and took a photo of the bottom and top of the slope, I like this kind of green and red image! (There are sprinklers spraying water from time to time in the field, so be careful to avoid them.)

When the handrail appears on the wooden trestle, it means that the climb will be over for a while.

There is a small pavilion next to the wooden trestle, just under the cherry blossom tree, many people are in the neighborhood to shoot that pavilion, if it is the season of the golden needles in bloom should also be very beautiful.

There is also a small cherry blossom tunnel on the left hand side.

The gazebo looks good from this angle, with the goldenrod in the foreground.

There are more than 5 pavilions in the park, but it’s hard to see the flowers blooming, so most of the tourists stay under the cherry blossom trees, and the pavilions are sparsely populated.

The pavilion below can be seen about halfway through the park and is surrounded by Yaezakura, but after that the number of Yaezakura starts to diminish and is replaced by other plants.

After the pavilion, most of the cherry blossoms in the middle and back half of the park are Fuji cherry blossoms, and the overall color is much lighter.

This walkway near the center section, in December, the green leafy area will be snow white, it is the blooming season of white snow wood, I haven’t photographed it yet, so I will plan to come back when I have the chance.

The number of cherry blossoms in the second half of the road is much smaller than the first half, but the trees lined up on both sides of the road are quite spectacular, and there is no signboard at the site, so I’d like to know the names of these trees (I think they’re pretty).

As far as I can remember, this is the highest pavilion, and after that, it’s not far from the summit (the highest point in the park).

On the right hand side is the last hillside with full of Fuji cherry blossoms, and on the left hand side there are a few plum trees, the blossoms of which have almost fallen off by now.

The slopes are full of Fuji cherry blossoms.

Walking to the end of the park, you will fall under the Fuji cherry blossoms, and I think it is a pity if you don’t go to the end! This is the area with the most Fuji cherry blossoms.
